Related posts brought to you by Yet Another Related Posts Plugin.]]> The Halisham In Bloom town council sub-committee has launched a competition this year titled the Best Wildlife Garden competition which will allow residents in the area to show off their front of back wildlife conscious gardens.

The gardens will be judged and winners chosen by how well they make use of wildlife promoting habitats, planning and designs that will protect and enhance wildlife, use of sustainable materials, and innovative design that reduces the impact of the garden on the environment.

The last date to enter the contest is on June 12^th, 2010, and entry forms for those interested can be picked up at the Town Council Office on Market Street or at the website www.hailshaminbloom.org. There is no entry fee to toss your garden hat into the competition.

Judges will narrow down their final choices and make a formal visit in order to decide the winners soon after the contest closes. A special presentation will be made in September where the awards will be given out although the date is yet to be announced.

Deputy Mayor and chairman of Halisham in Bloom, Cllr Jeff Bentley-Astor, stated that gardening with wildlife in mind has become quite popular and credible over the last few years and the competition is a great way for local gardeners to show off their efforts this summer.
