Escape to the country – 15 Minutes from Llandrindod Wells!
… to beautiful rural Radnorshire where wildlife flourishes. We are a county wildlife site for great crested newts. We have all 3 species of newts and frogs and other aquatic insects. The otter and heron visit our large pond regularly.
The site is 6.5 acres and comprises formal gardens, pasture, hay meadow, 3 ponds, wildlife walks with long grass for voles, a strip of woodland along the stream. Tawny owls have successfully reared chicks. The property is “in the middle of nowhere” at the end of a country lane – so safe for children and pets. Yet, it is only 15 mins from Llandrindod Wells.
The formal gardens are planted using weed suppressing fabric so that weeding is minimal and maintenance reduced. There are hundreds of different species of shrubs and perennials – chosen to be bee and bird friendly and to have colour and interest in all seasons of the year. (For example there are 7 different species of cotoneaster and 7 elders – both wonderful for wildlife.)
The hay meadow – full of butterflies and insects in the summer – is cut late by the local farmer and he also lightly grazes the pasture below the house. He will cut the hedges too.
The property has 4 bedrooms (one en-suite), bathroom, lounge, dining room, garden room, kitchen, utility room, integral store which could be a bed sit annex and a triple garage which also contains a 20 ft high by 55 ft long climbing wall. (This is probably the largest domestic indoor climbing wall in Britain.) Don’t worry if you don’t climb as free professional lessons will be included in the price of £448 000.
