A new range of giant garden gnomes has surprised many chefs by simply flying off of the supermarket shelves over the past few days. ASDA bosses stated that their new three feet tall garden gnomes are a big hit. So much in fact that on average they are selling about one gnome per every three minutes.
This may be the start of a new trend given the fact that the Chelsea Flower Show has finally revoked its ban against gnomes in the garden. This odd gardening trend has been fueled in place by online social networks like Facebook where gnome fans are setting up groups and calling the ASDA gnomes Gnorman.
Over 7,000 gnomes have already been sold and ASDA expects to be sold out completely before the gardening season comes to a close. A spokesperson for the supermarket said that they are thrilled that so many people enjoy Gnorman and that at three feet tall he can help add some flavor to just about any summer garden.
